The inauguration of a new professor marked an important milestone in strengthening the academic, research, and innovation capacity of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Sumatera Utara, supporting the development of excellent and competitive higher education.
The activity featured a socialization session on preparing proposals for ministry-funded research downstreaming grants and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to support improvements in research performance and Universitas Sumatera Utara’s Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings performance.
Curriculum benchmarking on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) between the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Sumatera Utara and the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK) of UIN Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan was strengthened through the signing of an Implementation Agreement (IA) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), followed by a visit to the FMIPA USU Chemistry Laboratory to expand collaboration in education, research, and community engagement.
The partnership marks a concrete step in implementing the university's Tri Dharma through collaboration between the Physics Study Program of FMIPA USU and the Bekiung Village Government in the areas of education, research, and community engagement.
