HUMAS FMIPA – The Physics Study Program of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), signed an Implementation Agreement (IA) with the Bekiung Village Government as a shared commitment to developing a sustainable partnership. The agreement was signed together with the Head of Bekiung Village, Mr. Supono, S.T., marking the beginning of various collaborative programs designed to benefit the local community.
This agreement serves as a follow-up to the commitment of both parties to strengthen collaboration between academia and local government. Through the Implementation Agreement, the Physics Study Program of FMIPA USU and Bekiung Village agreed to develop initiatives covering community engagement, village empowerment, applied research, and educational programs tailored to the needs of the community.
The Head of the Physics Study Program of FMIPA USU stated that this collaboration reflects the university's commitment to making meaningful contributions to rural development. By leveraging the expertise of its lecturers and students in science and technology, the program is expected to deliver innovative solutions to various challenges faced by the community.
In addition to strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, the collaboration is expected to foster a productive partnership ecosystem between the university and the village government. The planned programs are aimed at enhancing human resource capacity, promoting innovation based on local potential, and contributing to the sustainable development of Bekiung Village.
The signing of the Implementation Agreement represents an important milestone for the Physics Study Program of FMIPA USU in expanding its network of strategic partnerships. Through close collaboration with Bekiung Village, the study program hopes to implement initiatives that not only support the university's performance indicators but also generate tangible benefits for the community in line with the spirit of Diktisaintek Berdampak.
