HUMAS FMIPA The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) welcomed a visit from the USU Academic Senate as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic governance and enhance the quality of higher education. The visit, held on Thursday (July 23), was attended by the faculty leadership, Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs, and members of the USU Academic Senate.

During the visit, the Academic Senate reviewed several strategic areas that serve as key indicators of academic quality development at FMIPA USU. The evaluation covered the Faculty Strategic Plan (Renstra), the Research Master Plan, the Community Service Master Plan, the implementation of Alternative Final Project Recognition, and the adoption of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum across undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs.

The discussion also addressed the development of international classes, national and international accreditation achievements, the implementation of the Fast Track Program, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), the administration of Special University Compulsory Courses, student affairs, partnerships and publications, as well as budget planning. These areas form part of FMIPA USU's continuous efforts to strengthen academic governance and enhance its institutional competitiveness.

The meeting was conducted in a constructive atmosphere through discussions between the Academic Senate and the FMIPA USU leadership regarding the faculty's achievements, challenges, and future development strategies. The visit also provided an opportunity to reinforce collaboration in promoting accountable, high-quality academic governance aligned with the quality standards of Universitas Sumatera Utara. Based on the meeting agenda, the discussions focused on academic and governance aspects established by the Academic Senate.

Through this visit, FMIPA USU reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving the quality of education, research, community service, and institutional governance in support of Universitas Sumatera Utara's vision of becoming a leading and globally competitive university.
