The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FMIPA USU), visited several study programs within the faculty to directly review the condition of facilities and infrastructure supporting academic activities.
The visit aimed to identify various needs for facility improvement and development, including classrooms, faculty offices, laboratories, and other supporting facilities used for education, research, and community service activities.
During the visit, the Dean of FMIPA USU held discussions with heads of study programs, lecturers, and education staff to gather input regarding the condition of existing facilities. Various proposals concerning improvements to learning spaces, the arrangement of faculty offices, enhanced workplace comfort, and the optimization of learning facilities were among the matters addressed during the visit.
The Dean of FMIPA USU stated that adequate facilities and infrastructure are important factors in supporting a high-quality learning process. Therefore, the results of the review will serve as evaluation material and a basis for establishing priorities for facility improvement programs at FMIPA USU in a gradual and sustainable manner.
“We want to ensure that every study program has a comfortable and safe learning and working environment capable of optimally supporting the implementation of the university’s tridharma. Input from each study program will be part of our efforts to improve the quality of academic services at FMIPA USU,” said the Dean of FMIPA USU.
Through this activity, FMIPA USU reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving the quality of its facilities and infrastructure as part of efforts to create a conducive, modern, and quality-oriented academic environment. Synergy between the faculty leadership and all study programs is expected to accelerate the implementation of various facility development programs and provide the best possible services to the FMIPA USU academic community.
