A healthy lifestyle is a desire and hope to improve the quality of human life, ultimately leading to success. As part of FMIPA's 58th-anniversary celebrations, a health seminar themed Healthy Lifestyle was held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, in the Multipurpose Room, 1st Floor of FMIPA. The event was attended by the deans, heads and secretaries of study programs, lecturers, administrative staff, and students.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhrah, M.Si, Vice Dean I, emphasized that a healthy lifestyle involves efforts to maintain and enhance one’s health. "We need to gradually change unhealthy behaviors into healthy ones. This way, we can achieve physical comfort while working, and for students, it will boost their enthusiasm in classes and laboratories," said Cut Fatimah.

She added that healthy behavior is essentially the body’s response to illness, diseases, health services, food, and the surrounding environment. "Let’s work together to improve our habits toward better health," she urged.

The seminar featured Dra. Monica Titik Karmaningsih, a health practitioner and the Owner of Avail Center Mojokerto, as the speaker. Monica highlighted the importance of maintaining gut health, explaining that the condition of the stomach significantly affects one's mood. She stressed that improving eating habits is the key to maintaining gut health, which is crucial for a successful life.

Additionally, Monica advised avoiding stress and cultivating positive thoughts, as stress is closely linked to stomach conditions. "A weak gut makes a person more prone to stress. However, one can become stronger by improving the immune system, which is centered in the gut, through better eating habits," she explained.

She also pointed out that accumulated negative emotions can worsen gut conditions. "If you want to succeed, start by improving your gut health, as it is closely related to enhancing your personality," Monica added.

A lively Q&A session followed, where participants gained valuable health insights and won prizes from the speaker.

The seminar concluded with the presentation of a plaque and certificate from FMIPA to the speaker, along with gifts from Avail Center Mojokerto to the FMIPA deans.
