Dr. Kerista Tarigan, M.Eng.Sc. dilahirkan di Karo pada tanggal 03 Februari 1960 dan merupakan seorang dosen Fisika di Universitas Sumatera Utara. Beliau menyelesaikan pendidikan terakhirnya, yakni S3 Ilmu Kimia, di USU pada tahun 2009.
