The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) organized a Workshop on Semester Learning Plan (RPS) Development on Thursday, November 9, 2023, held at the 3rd Floor Meeting Room, Unit 8 of the FMIPA USU Building. The workshop was attended by Vice Dean I (Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, M.Si), program heads, lecturers, and academic staff from FMIPA USU. The event featured Dr. Ir. Syamsul Arifin, M.T., a lecturer from the Department of Engineering Physics at ITS, Surabaya, as the keynote speaker.
Vice Dean I of FMIPA USU, Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, S.Si., M.Si., representing the Dean of FMIPA USU, officially opened the workshop. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of having comprehensive and detailed RPS for every course, ensuring that any lecturer teaching the course can follow the established guidelines. She expressed her hope that this workshop would inspire lecturers to give their best for their departments and students by creating comprehensive RPS as a starting point for improving and advancing the faculty and university.

She likened the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) to a clear and structured guide, enabling the teaching process to run effectively and optimally.
