PUBLIC RELATIONS FMIPA – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), once again successfully held the Outstanding Student Selection (PILMAPRES) 2026 on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the FMIPA Multipurpose Hall, USU. The event serves as a form of appreciation for students who demonstrate excellence in both academic and non-academic fields.
This activity serves as a platform to identify and nurture young individuals who are not only intellectually capable but also possess leadership qualities, creativity, and meaningful contributions to society.
In this year’s event, three outstanding students were selected for their exceptional performance throughout the selection process. The winners of PILMAPRES FMIPA 2026 are:

1st Place: Leo Nardo Chou from the Undergraduate Program in Biology, recognized for consistent academic excellence and active involvement in scientific activities.

2nd Place: Felix Geraldin Siburi from the Undergraduate Program in Physics, with notable achievements in research and personal development.

3rd Place: Adnes Keszia Grace Vadinita Purba from the Undergraduate Program in Mathematics, demonstrating strong analytical skills and excellent academic performance.
On this occasion, the Dean of FMIPA USU, represented by the Vice Dean I, expressed the highest appreciation to all participants. It was emphasized that PILMAPRES is not merely a competition, but also a platform for student development to become future agents of change.
“Through PILMAPRES, we hope to cultivate students who are not only academically उत्कृष्ट but also possess integrity, social awareness, and global competitiveness,” he stated.
