Public Relations FMIPA — Two students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) got the opportunity to study abroad for one semester through the Indonesia International Student Mobility Award (IISMA) program in 2024.

They are Risky Ramadhan HTS from S-1 Chemistry, who qualified for the University of Galway, Ireland, and Tiara Putri Hardini from S-1 Mathematics, who qualified for Mahidol University, Thailand.

To participate in IISMA, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0), TOEFL iBT - 78, IELTS - 6.0, or Duolingo English Test - 100.

This year, 86 students applied for IISMA at USU, but only 15 could proceed to the interview process, and only nine students successfully passed the IISMA scholarship selection.
