The Undergraduate Program in Mathematics FMIPA USU held a Project-Based Learning and Case Method workshop to improve the quality of learning in accordance with Permendikbudristek No. 53 of 2023. This workshop presented speakers from Universitas Gadjah Mada and encouraged more interactive learning.
FMIPA Public Relations, USU - The Undergraduate Program in Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a workshop titled "Project-Based Learning and Case Method in Mathematics." The event, attended by the Vice Dean II of FMIPA USU, the leadership of the Undergraduate Program in Mathematics, and faculty members, was successfully conducted on Monday, November 11, 2024, in the Multipurpose Room, 1st Floor, Unit 8, FMIPA USU. The workshop featured a speaker from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Dr. Fajar Adi Kusumo, S.Si., M.Si.
The workshop aimed to improve the quality of education in accordance with Permendikbudristek No. 53 of 2023 on Higher Education Quality Assurance, particularly the Graduate Competency Standards.
The Vice Dean II of FMIPA USU, Dr. Susilawati, S.Si., M.Si., in her remarks, expressed her hope that the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Case Method would create a more interactive learning experience. "We hope that these methods foster more interactive engagement between students and lecturers," she stated. She also encouraged participants, who were lecturers from the Undergraduate Program in Mathematics, to actively participate, especially during the question-and-answer sessions.
The event concluded with the presentation of a plaque by the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Mathematics, accompanied by the Program Secretary.
