The Universitas Sumatera Utara held the 77th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia which was held at the USU Rector Bureau Courtyard.
USU Rector Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si who acted as the master of ceremony read the text of remarks from the Minister of Education and Research with the theme “Recover faster, Rise stronger”. In his speech, the Rector also expected the synergy of the entire USU academic community to advance the University.
In addition to the ceremony, there was also an alma mater and Student Identity Card (KTM) pinning activity which symbolizes that USU accepts new citizens as part of USU. “The pinning of alma mater and KTM is a symbol that USU accepts new citizens as part of USU,” said the rector.
On that occasion, Satya Lencana Satya award certificates were also given to lecturers and teaching staff who have served for 10, 20, and 30 years. Likewise, awards were given for the achievements of USU Lecturers in the field of the tri dharma of higher education.
