FMIPA USU – Medan
On Tuesday, November 30, 2023, a collaboration agreement was signed between the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) and FMIPA of Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD). The event took place in the Einstein Room, 1st Floor, Otto Soemarwoto Building, FMIPA UNPAD, Jalan Ir. Soekarno Km. 21, Jatinangor, Sumedang.
The agreement, numbered 1918/UN5.2.1.8/KPM/2023 and 1496/UN6.D/PKS/2023, encompasses research, education, and human resource capacity building as well as the advancement of science and technology. It is valid from the date of signing for five years, with the option to extend or terminate upon mutual agreement.
The event was attended by representatives from FMIPA USU, including Prof. Dr. Miswar Budi Mulya, S.Si, M.Si (Vice Dean III), Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, M.Si (Vice Dean I), Dr. Mardiningsih, M.Si (Head of Undergraduate Mathematics Program), Dr. Sovia Lenny, S.Si, M.Si (Head of Undergraduate Chemistry Program), Awan Maghfirah, S.Si, M.Si (Secretary of Undergraduate Physics Program), Riyanto Sinaga, S.Si, M.Si (Secretary of Undergraduate Biology Program), Lely Ratnawati, S.T. (Head of Research, Community Service, and Cooperation Division), and Novita Sari Dewi Bangun, S.E. (Cooperation Operator). From FMIPA UNPAD, the attendees included Prof. Dr. Iman Rahayu, S.Si, M.Si (Dean), Yudhie Andriyana, M.Sc, Ph.D (Vice Dean I), Prof. Dr. Nursanti Anggriani, M.Si (Manager of Research, Innovation, and Partnership), and Dr. Togar Saragi (Head of UPM).
The event began with remarks by the Dean of FMIPA UNPAD, Prof. Dr. Iman Rahayu, followed by discussions on activities related to the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MB-KM) program, student exchanges, research initiatives, community service, technology advancement, and the realization of the collaboration agreement’s objectives. Prof. Dr. Miswar Budi Mulya expressed confidence that this partnership would contribute to achieving the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in each study program within FMIPA USU.
The event concluded with an exchange of souvenirs. Representatives of FMIPA UNPAD presented a plaque to FMIPA USU, received by Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, S.Si, M.Si (Vice Dean I), accompanied by Prof. Dr. Miswar Budi Mulya, M.Si (Vice Dean III).
