The USU Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences held a Sharing Session and Training on PKM to increase student participation in PKM 2025. This event aims to prepare students' success strategies to face national competitions.
FMIPA PR - The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a sharing session and training for PKM on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Unit 1 Multipurpose Room of FMIPA USU. This Sharing Session and PKM Training activity was held to develop strategies aimed at supporting and increasing student participation and achievement in the Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) in 2025. PKM is a forum established by the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia to facilitate the potential of Indonesian students in studying, developing, and applying the science and technology they have learned in lectures to the wider community.
The event was opened by the Vice Dean I of FMIPA USU, Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, S.Si., M.Si. In her speech, Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, S.Si., M.Si., expected more students to participate and pass the selection in PKM activities in 2025 to make FMIPA and USU proud. According to her, PKM is a place to prove the knowledge that has been learned during college and can be tested nationally through student creativity.
In this Sharing Session and PKM Training, Ir. Muhammadin Hamid, S.Si., M.Si., and Dr. Rini Hardiyanti, S.T.P., as the PKM Center, who conveyed strategies in facing this PKM competition.
