FMIPA USU held a socialization on lecturer credit score assessment guidelines on March 31, 2023, in accordance with PermenPANRB No. 1/2023. The event highlighted key mechanisms for academic rank assessments.

Following the letter from the Vice Rector for Finance and Human Resources No. 5196/UN5.1.R2/SDM/2023 dated March 29, 2023, regarding lecturer credit scores (PAK) and BKD, and referring to the letter from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology No. 0100/E.E4/DT.04.01/2023 dated February 16, 2023, on the regulation of lecturer credit score assessments and BKD special obligations, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a socialization event on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 9:00 AM in the Multipurpose Hall, 1st Floor, FMIPA.

 

The Socialization on Lecturer Credit Score Assessment Guidelines Based on PermenPANRB Number 1 of 2023 was opened by the Dean of FMIPA, Dr. Nursahara Pasaribu, M.Sc., and attended by Vice Dean I, Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhrah, M.Si., Vice Dean II and speaker, Dr. Susilawati, M.Si., Vice Dean III, Dr. Miswar Budi Mulya, M.Si., Heads and Secretaries of Departments, and lecturers within FMIPA USU.

Dr. Susilawati, M.Si., explained that the data sources for lecturer credit score assessments are derived from valid systems such as PDDIKTI, SINTA, SISTER, and SIM-SDM USU. With the enactment of PermenPANRB No. 1 of 2023, lecturers must adhere to the timeline for submitting and assessing credit scores, including uploading documents for functional positions such as Associate Professor and Professor. Academic work completed by December 31, 2022, will still be evaluated under the previous regulation (PermenPANRB No. 17 of 2013), with the assessment deadline set for June 30, 2023.

She also detailed the mechanism for recognizing credit score results, which includes:

  1. Compiling activity lists according to the formats in Appendices A (education), B (research), C (community service), and D (supporting activities).

  2. Submitting cumulative credit scores to PTN/LL Dikti leadership for evaluation.

  3. Submitting the list of lecturers and their credit scores in the format of Appendix F, no later than May 15, 2023, to the Directorate General of Higher Education for the issuance of the Credit Score Determination List (Appendix G). The credit score determination must be completed by June 30, 2023.

At the end of the event, the Dean of FMIPA, Dr. Nursahara Pasaribu, M.Sc., emphasized that credit score assessments should be carried out consistently and in accordance with procedures to facilitate academic promotions for eligible lecturers. She also expressed hope that this socialization would contribute to enhancing the academic quality at FMIPA USU.
