Completing a Doctoral Study Program at the Universitas Sumatera Utara is the right choice for me who status as an FMIPA Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics FMIPA Syiah Kuala University which is still status occupies the Chair Position in the D3 Informatics Management Study Program and still has a small child, which at that time a 5-year-old child also participated in the lecture by sitting at the back of the class. without being prohibited by the lecturer who teaches with a story book with science content and occasionally holds an Eelekelek Game. Science content storybook and occasionally holding Electronic Games to make him safe ... occasionally disturbing his mother who was paying attention to the lecture. Occasionally the lecturer quipped "There is a Professor of Mathematical Sciences is sitting at the back..!" I just smiled... my little heart was amused. praying that when he grows up, my little son will become a professor... Thus this does not become me disturbed in following his daily lectures due to the academic atmosphere both formal and informal in the S3 Study Program in Mathematical Sciences FMIPA -USU is very much an unforgettable part that gives comfort to the students. unforgettable part that gives comfort to students who at that time were students for the first year in the Doctoral Program in Mathematical Sciences FMIPA-USU. first year in the Doctoral Program in Mathematical Sciences FMIPA at the Universitas Sumatera Utara - Medan, which does not yet have alumni. Medan who did not yet have alumni, and scholarships could not be proposed because they did not yet have alumni, could not be proposed for scholarships, so that the financial funds for tuition were 100% from my own pocket. from myself, I live in Banda Aceh and commute, by airplane in the morning 50 minutes to Medan and immediately attend lectures back home in Medan. Medan and immediately follow the lecture home in the afternoon ... Unexpectedly also the salary funds a lecturer's salary funds run out for S3 studies. This is not a burden because I am very satisfied to feel being able to study in the Doctoral Program in Mathematical Sciences FMIPA at the Universitas Sumatera Utara - Medan due to the pleasant and conducive learning climate to develop critical and constructive reasoning that is solution-oriented. constructive reasoning that is solution-oriented. As well as the happiness that I can feel all the teachers of the lecturers, especially the Promoter / Co Promoter, encouraged us as students in the first year to dare to present our written work to the public. first year students to dare to show written work to be socialized by presenting at the International Conferences in various countries, Europe, Turkey and neighboring countries such as Malaysia. Malaysia, so that we partly had the opportunity to graduate on time, which was helped by the seminars we conducted. by the seminars we conducted in foreign countries. May this academic tradition develop and become institutionalized, producing a profile of graduates with superior character spreading across the archipelago. Alhamdulillah, with Allah's permission, I was also able to complete my doctoral program on time.

In my opinion, studying at FMIPA USU is very pleasant, the facilities are adequate, the lecturers are good, and the friends are also very cool. I think the faculty of Mipa USU is highly recommended.
