FMIPA PUBLIC RELATIONS - Dean of FMIPA USU, Prof. Dr. Nursahara Pasaribu, M.Sc., together with Vice Rector I of USU, Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A., and Dean of FIB USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A., visited several schools in Saudi Arabia, one of which is the Sekolah Indonesia in Makkah.
During the meeting, teachers and staff at Sekolah Indonesia warmly welcomed the Dean of FMIPA USU, Vice Rector I, and Dean of FIB USU. In his remarks, the USU Vice Rector I hoped that the MBKM Kampus Mengajar Program could be realized and USU students could be sent to Sekolah Indonesia to assist teachers in carrying out their teaching duties. After the Sekolah Indonesia in Makkah, the group continued visiting Sekolah Indonesia in Jeddah.
The visit continued to the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh, which was warmly welcomed by the Attaché of Education and Culture (Atdikbud) Riyadh. During her visit, the Dean of FMIPA USU signed a collaboration between FMIPA USU and the Sekolah Indonesia in Riyadh and implemented the collaboration on the MBKM Program that was carried out in 2024.
In this activity, four FMIPA USU students helped school teachers teach Sekolah Indonesia students in Jeddah for three months. FMIPA USU will later prepare multitalented students to implement the knowledge they gain in lectures to students in Saudi Arabian Schools.
