FMIPA PR - The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) received a visit from the USU Board of Trustees (MWA) on Monday, (22/04/2024) at the Multipurpose Building Unit 8 FMIPA USU.
During this visit, the Board of Trustees and the Head of the Faculty of MIPA USU discussed the Faculty Performance Report related to planning, implementation, performance achievements, and problems/obstacles faced in 2023. This activity was attended by the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Head of Commissions I, II, and III of the Board of Trustees, Head of the Audit Committee of the Board of Trustees, Secretary of Commissions I, II, and III, Secretary of the Audit Committee, Audit Members, Members of the Board of Trustees Commission, Expert Staff of the Board of Trustees, Secretariat of the Board of Trustees, Deans, Vice Deans I, II, and III, Heads of Undergraduate, Masters, and Doctoral Study Programs, Expert Staff of Deans, KTU, and Head of Subdivision of FMIPA USU. The event was opened with remarks by Prof. Dr. Nursahara Pasaribu, M.Sc as Dean of FMIPA USU, followed by remarks by Prof. Dr. Guslihan Dasa Tjipta, Sp.A (K) as Secretary of MWA USU.
The event continued with a presentation related to planning, implementation, performance achievements, and problems/constraints of FMIPA USU in 2023 delivered directly by the Dean of FMIPA USU, Prof. Dr. Nursahara Pasaribu, M.Sc. The material presented by the Dean of FMIPA USU includes programs planned for the future, achievements that have been achieved, and obstacles found when running the planned program.
In this meeting, the Head of the MWA Commission and members, as well as the Head of the Audit Committee and members of the MWA, appreciated the achievement of the USU FMIPA Performance Program in 2023. However, there is still much to be improved in dealing with problems in carrying out work programs to achieve the planned targets.
The activity continued with a visit from MWA USU to the FMIPA USU Laboratory to review laboratory developments. FMIPA USU has a laboratory that has been accredited by KAN ISO 17025, namely the Microbiology Testing Laboratory, and a laboratory that is in the process of accreditation, namely the Analytical Chemistry Laboratory.
