The public lecture "Introduction to Calibration Techniques of Measuring Instruments to Ensure the Quality of Measurement Results" at FMIPA USU was successfully held with PT Dakara Prima Indonesia. This event gave students insight into the importance of calibration in the field of physics and the workplace.
FMIPA PR - Thank you to PT Dakara Prima Indonesia for delivering a public lecture to the students of the Physics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), on Thursday, November 14, 2024. The lecture, themed "Introduction to Calibration Techniques for Ensuring Measurement Quality," was held in the Multipurpose Room, 1st Floor, Unit 8, FMIPA USU, and was attended by more than 100 students.
The Head of the Undergraduate Program in Physics at USU, Dr. Tulus Ikhsan Nasution, S.Si., M.Sc., expressed his hopes for the students to engage seriously in the session. "I hope that through this public lecture, the participants present today will listen attentively to enhance their knowledge and insights, as calibration is a crucial subject in the field of physics," he remarked.
Representing the Dean of FMIPA USU, who was unable to attend, Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, S.Si., M.Si., Vice Dean I of FMIPA USU, also delivered remarks and officially opened the event. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of the lecture. "This public lecture is highly beneficial as we are gaining knowledge directly from experts. I hope the students can learn thoroughly from this session and later apply it in their careers, as calibration is closely related to physics. The speakers we have brought in are specialists in their field," she stated.
The event also featured the signing of an Implementation Agreement (IA) between FMIPA USU, represented by Vice Dean III, Prof. Dr. Miswar Budi Mulya, S.Si., M.Si., and PT Dakara Prima Indonesia, represented by its President Director, Fadhly Sakti Ritonga, S.T.
The session continued with a presentation by Dwi Budi Prasetya, S.T., Technical Manager of PT Dakara Prima Indonesia, who discussed "Introduction to Calibration Techniques for Ensuring Measurement Quality." His presentation provided valuable insights into the importance of calibration techniques in ensuring the quality of measurement results, along with their relevance to the field of physics and professional work.
