The workshop “Preparation and Implementation of OBE-Based Curriculum and Development of RPS” was held by FMIPA USU on November 18, 2024. This activity presents experts from UI and USU to support lecturers in developing an innovative OBE-based curriculum.
FMIPA Public Relations - The Master's Program in Chemistry and the Doctoral Program in Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), organized a workshop titled "Curriculum Development and Implementation in Accordance with OBE Principles and RPS Preparation" on Monday, November 18, 2024, in the Multipurpose Room, 1st Floor, Unit 8, FMIPA USU.
Dr. Marpongahtun, M.Sc., the Head of the Master's Program in Chemistry and the Doctoral Program in Chemistry, expressed her appreciation in her opening remarks. "Thank you to the faculty members who have attended this workshop. I hope this workshop strengthens the understanding and skills of our lecturers in designing curricula according to OBE principles while also preparing effective RPS," she said.
The Vice Dean II of FMIPA USU, Dr. Susilawati, S.Si., M.Si., representing the Dean of FMIPA USU, also delivered a speech and officially opened the workshop. "This workshop is essential for faculty members, as it facilitates the curriculum design process and RPS preparation," she stated.
The workshop featured two expert speakers in their respective fields: Dr. Mulia Orientilize, S.T., M.Eng., from Universitas Indonesia (UI), and Ely Hayati Nasution, S.S., M.Si., from Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). The event was attended by the Vice Dean II of FMIPA USU, the leadership of the Master's and Doctoral Programs in Chemistry, and lecturers from the Undergraduate, Master's, and Doctoral Programs in Chemistry.
The outcomes of this workshop are expected to enhance lecturers' understanding of curriculum development based on OBE principles and the preparation of effective RPS.
