The workshop themed 'In Silico Applications in Biological Research' was successfully held by the Master and Doctoral Program in Biological Science FMIPA USU on November 5, 2024. This activity presents in-depth material presentation and application installation, providing new insights for lecturers and students.

FMIPA USU PR - The Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Biology of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a workshop themed “In Silico Applications in Biological Research.” The event, attended by the Dean and Vice Dean III of FMIPA USU, Heads of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Biology, and students from both programs, was successfully conducted on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in the Multipurpose Room, 1st Floor, Unit 8, FMIPA USU.

On this occasion, the Dean of FMIPA USU, Prof. Dr. Nursahara Pasaribu, M.Sc., delivered an opening speech to officially inaugurate the workshop. In her remarks, she stated, “This workshop is expected to provide significant insights for us, as In Silico Applications represent rapid technological advancements in education, while also offering great convenience for us, the lecturers, in conducting research,” she remarked.

The event continued with a presentation on “In Silico Applications in Biological Research” by Henny Sri Wahyuni, S.Farm., M.Si., Apt., followed by a second session featuring the installation of the In Silico Application on participants’ laptops.
