FMIPA USU signed a partnership agreement with the Faculty of Biology UGM to support the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka program. This collaboration aims to enhance productivity in education, research, and community service.

FMIPA USU – Medan
As part of the development of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education collaboration and the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka program, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) visited the Faculty of Biology at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Biology UGM, represented by Dr. Eko Agus Suyono, M.App.Sc, Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni, and Dr. Bambang Retnoaji, M.Sc, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs. The meeting took place in the KPTU Meeting Room of the Faculty of Biology UGM, Yogyakarta.

 

 

During this occasion, the FMIPA USU delegation, led by Prof. Dr. Miswar Budi Mulya, M.Si (Vice Dean III of FMIPA USU), participated in discussions, exchanged information, and shared experiences on the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MB-KM) program, education, research, and community service. Subsequently, the parties signed a cooperation agreement through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Faculty of Biology UGM and FMIPA USU regarding education, research, and community service under document numbers 6212/UN1/FBI/KSA/H.K.08.00/2023 and 2899/UN5.2.1.8/KPM/2023.

 

Prof. Miswar expressed his belief that the MoA will facilitate the implementation of various activities that support the increased productivity of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

 

 

The meeting concluded with an exchange of mementos in the form of plaques between the two parties. Dr. Eko Agus Suyono, M.App.Sc, Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni at the Faculty of Biology UGM, presented a plaque to Prof. Dr. Miswar Budi Mulya, M.Si, Vice Dean III of FMIPA USU. The event ended with a group photo session.
