FMIPA PUBLIC RELATIONS — The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Sumatera Utara has officially entered a new chapter of leadership. On Monday, May 4, 2026, the inauguration ceremony for the new faculty leadership was held at the USU Student Center.

During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Miswar Budi Mulya was officially inaugurated as Dean of FMIPA USU for the 2026–2031 term. This inauguration marks the beginning of a new era carrying the spirit of “The Era of Ultimate Excellence” within the faculty.

In addition to the Dean’s inauguration, the ceremony also officially appointed the Vice Deans who will accompany Prof. Miswar over the next five years, namely:

  • Prof. Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra as Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs
  • Muhammad Romi Syahputra as Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Academic Infrastructure
  • Liana Dwi Sri Hastuti as Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization

The entire academic community of FMIPA USU extends its congratulations and best wishes to the newly inaugurated leadership team. Great expectations are placed on the 2026–2031 leadership period to further strengthen FMIPA USU as an impactful and outstanding institution at both the national and international levels.
