MIPAnet activities are a means of regular meetings and coordination of MIPA deans and leaders throughout Indonesia so that collaboration is established which is a National Cooperation Network of Higher Education Institutions in the field of MIPA and MDSM (Majlis Dekan Sains Malaysia). The 2022 MIPAnet Annual Meeting was held on 3-4 June 2022 at the Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, Kuta, Bali, which was attended by 81 deans from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences throughout Indonesia.
The MIPAnet annual meeting was also coupled with the seminar The 3rd International Conference on Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Applications, Research, and Technology (ICON-SMART 2022) with the theme Mathematical Physics and Biotechnology for Education, Energy Efficiency, and Marine Sciences. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Universitas Udayana became the co-host of the international seminar, which was organized in a hybrid manner. The seminar was attended by 730 general participants and 900 students from 144 institutions from 19 countries, opened by beating the Gong by the Rector of Unsrat and the Rector of Unud.
Dean of FMIPA Universitas Sumatera Utara Dr Nursahara Pasaribu, M.Sc supported and participated in the MIPAnet 2022 meeting. He hopes that this activity will have a better impact on FMIPA USU in the development of the basic sciences of MIPA and the establishment of cooperation, especially in realizing the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program.
