FMIPA USU PR - The Undergraduate Program in Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a public lecture with the theme “Peranan Matematika pada Lembaga Keuangan.” The activity which was attended by the Vice Dean I of FMIPA USU, the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Mathematics, and students from the USU Undergraduate Program in Mathematics was successfully held on Wednesday, October 09, 2024, in the Multipurpose Room 1st Floor Unit 8 FMIPA USU.
On this occasion, Vice Dean I of FMIPA USU, Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, S.Si., M.Si., who represented the Dean of FMIPA USU gave a speech as well as opening this public lecture activity. In her speech, she revealed, “With this activity, it turns out that mathematics intersects with our daily lives, especially in terms of finance,” she said. In addition, in his remarks, he hoped “To all participants who are students of the Mathematics Study Program to be able to follow this public lecture well so that later it can be implemented in the world of work”, he hoped.
The activity continued with the presentation of material by a team from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) who are alumni of FMIPA USU, namely Muhammad Radhi, S.Si., M.Si.
