In 2022, PT PLN, the Center for Research and Development of Electricity, organizes routine activities every year, namely, PLN ICE (Innovation & Competition in Electricity) 2022, in order to capture innovative ideas in the field of electricity. For the competition category, there are 2 main categories, namely the competition for the conversion of fuel motors to electric motors and the "Electrifying Agriculture" competition, namely innovations in the form of equipment and business programs in agriculture, fisheries, and livestock with appropriate technology. The competition can be followed by the general public, consisting of students, high school / vocational students, farmer groups, and communities. The stages of the competition consist of Registration & Proposal Collection, Proposal Selection, Online Presentation, Due Diligence, Program Funding, and Final Assessment. So Hayo Group is a team from FMIPA Universitas Sumatera Utara whose members consist of Hadi Wijoyo, Dinda Amilia, Ivi Briliansi Dalimunthe, Chyntia Siahaan, Maria Derani Ester Vania with the accompanying lecturer Mr. Muhammadin Hamid, S.Si., M.Si successfully became one of the participating teams from the University of North Sumatra who had passed to the program funding stage of the competition. Hayo Group raised a program to make a coffee skin waste composter to improve business in the Takengon area, Aceh, with one of the local entrepreneurs, Yusda Winni Murezeki, S.A.B. At this time, the team has entered the construction of the tool to hopefully achieve the best results.
