Recruitment can be defined as a series of activities carried out to attract job applicants who have the ability, motivation, knowledge, and expertise needed for the company. So, campus recruitment is a recruitment carried out by the company to get the right people to advance the company through various thoughts that the company needs. So, PT UNILEVER OLEOCHEMICAL INDONESIA carried out campus recruitment at FMIPA USU on February 11, 2022, in the Multipurpose Room Lt 1. The event was attended by Vice Dean I, Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, M.Si, Head of Chemistry Study Program, Dr. Sovia Lenny, M,Si. Secretary of the Chemistry Study Program Muhammad Zulham Efendi Sinaga, M.Si, Head of Student Affairs Elvika Hasibuan, S.Si, HRD Unilever Khairul Sahidun, and team. Meanwhile, the participants who attended were 75 USU alumni, and outside USU, there were 5 people (Malikul Saleh University, Polmed, PTKI).

Cut Fatimah Zuhra said, “This event is carried out to help students, especially fresh graduates, to get a job immediately, and this program is expected to increase the percentage of IKU 1 value achievement: students get a decent job with a waiting period of less than 6 (six) months after the date of issuance of the diploma.” Through this campus recruitment, the company will get outstanding people to fill various strategic positions at Unilever. The selection is done on campus by asking for recommendations from the campus as the person who assesses each student.


PT Unilever Oleochemical Indonesia is a company that has experienced rapid development. Over time, this company has opened up opportunities to work and have a career with them to become tough and reliable employees. Unilever HRD Khairul said, “PT Unilever is looking for experts who are competent in the fields desired by the company with the best graduates on campuses, including from FMIPA USU.” The technical recruitment process includes an Initial Interview conducted at FMIPA, a Chemistry Alumni Ability Test (lab test and Psychotest), a Non-Chemistry Alumni Ability Test (Psychotest), a Final Interview, and a Medical Check offering conducted by Unilever Sei Mangke. So far, the recruitment process has gone smoothly.
