SISTER stands for Integrated Resource Information System. This system can manage all lecturer data well, because if the data is well managed, the potential of lecturers will also be developed better. SISTER gives full control access rights to Indonesian lecturers, including lecturers in FMIPA USU for their respective data. Lecturers can change and update their data according to the latest data easily which aims to improve data quality in order to make sharp and relevant HR development policies.
Following up on letter number 1817 / UN5.1.R2 / HRM / 2022 regarding Assistance for Filling and Updating Lecturer Data in the SISTER Application at the Universitas Sumatera Utara, FMIPA carried out these activities offline and online in the Multipurpose room and Zoom meeting. This activity was held on February 10, 2022, opened by Deputy Dean 2, Dr. Susilawati, M.Si, who was accompanied by Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, M.Si (WD1) and Dr. Miswar Budi Mulia, M.Si (WD3). Participants consisted of civil servant lecturers (96 people) and permanent non-civil servant lecturers (26 people). As a resource person, I participated in this activity with the USU HR Bureau Team, namely Mr. Agoes Riyanto Tarigan and Fakhrizal Mukhtar Rangkuti, A.Md.
Susilawati said, “Assistance in Filling and Updating Lecturer Data in the SISTER Application is also to fulfill IKU and serdos in 2022, so it is important to be known and implemented directly by lecturers”. Participants who attend offline are required to bring a laptop and still follow health protocols. In this assistance, the resource person provides direction and guidance on how to fill in lecturer data on the SISTER application features. The menu and application features in SISTER are Personal data (data related to profile, address and contact, employment, family, etc.), Inpassing (is one of the features that stores data and history of impassing the class/rank of lecturers summarized in an easy and structured impassing page to use), Functional Position (scan, screenshot, or photos of Functional Position Decree documents or other supporting documents with a maximum file size of 5 MB), Rank (scans, screenshots, certificates or photos of other supporting documents with a maximum file size of 5 MB), Placement (scans, screenshots, certificates or photos of other supporting documents with a maximum file size of 5 MB), and Qualifications and competencies (scans, screenshots, certificates or photos of documents, other supporting certificates with a maximum file size of 5 MB). Agus explained “Every lecturer can use SISTER to build a portfolio by compiling all the activities of the tridarma of higher education that have been carried out”. In addition, the integration system between SISTER and the Higher Education Database will reduce the burden on lecturers in filling out portfolios. So, all teaching activities or career development that have been carried out by lecturers and recorded in Dikti data do not need to be refilled in SISTER because it has been integrated with Dikti. Data in the portfolio can be claimed when needed in the credit score assessment process, lecturer certification, and other processes.
