Prof. Drs. Basuki Wirjosentono, M.S., Ph.D. was born in Yogyakarta on April 18, 1952. He is a lecturer in Chemistry at Universitas Sumatera Utara. He completed his doctoral degree in the field of Polymer Chemistry and Technology at Aston University, United Kingdom, in 1992.
